Story
For the Moxy Hotel, AK Lichtdesign developed a contemporary lighting concept for the outdoor areas with the aim of creating a modern and inviting atmosphere. The lighting design emphasizes the urban character of the hotel and combines aesthetic impact with clear functional requirements.
In close coordination with Schmidt Architects, a comprehensive concept was created that precisely links architecture, outdoor space, and light. The lighting solution highlights pathways, seating areas, and architectural elements, providing orientation, safety, and a distinctive visual identity for the hotel both during the day and in the evening.
Challenge
The challenge was to connect clear and functional outdoor lighting with an independent design statement. Light should provide orientation and safety while simultaneously making the urban, lively character of the hotel visible from the outside.
Solution
The lighting design is based on a clear architectural stance and precise coordination among all parties involved.
